Bacteria are everywhere.

They even live inside us.
Some bacteria are helpful.
Some are not.
Each bacterium is a tiny factory making building materials.
They can make themselves bigger.
Some bacteria become like dirty factories.
Their pollution can make us ill.
Suddenly the big bacteria split in half so there are more and more.
Phages are very small lindeed.

Phages are nature's little Greenpeace robots.

They want us to be healthy. They are utterly fearless.
When a phage finds a bacterium, it drills through the wall.

Now it is inside.
It re-programmes all the machinery to make phages instead! Now the bacterium factory can only make phage robots!
Soon it is full from floor to ceiling with new robots.
Then they all push together
and the bacteria bursts open. with a great cheer - Hurrah! - te phages rush off.and the bacteria bursts open. With a great cheer - Hurrah! - the phages rush off.
Soon all the dirty bacteria have been popped.
and we are well again.
